European Foundry Industry shows signs of sta­bil­isa­tion in June 2026 as man­u­fac­tur­ing recov­ery continues.
The latest European Foundry Industry Sen­ti­ment Indic­ator (FISI) pub­lished monthly by European Foundry Fed­er­a­tion (EFF) shows that the European foundry industry recor­ded its first mean­ing­ful improve­ment in busi­ness sen­ti­ment after sev­eral chal­len­ging months. While iron and steel foundries repor­ted stronger busi­ness con­fid­ence in June, the non-fer­­rous sec­tor con­tin­ued to demon­strate resi­li­ence des­pite a slight mod­er­a­tion from excep­tion­ally high levels. 

The latest European Foundry Industry Sen­ti­ment Indic­ator (FISI) pub­lished by the European Foundry Fed­er­a­tion (EFF) points to a fur­ther weak­en­ing of busi­ness con­fid­ence across much of the European foundry industry in May 2026. While iron and steel foundries repor­ted deteri­or­at­ing busi­ness con­di­tions and lower expect­a­tions for the com­ing months, non-fer­­rous foundries con­tin­ued to demon­strate resi­li­ence and con­fid­ence in future mar­ket development.

The European Foundry Industry Sen­ti­ment Index (FISI), pub­lished monthly by European Foundry Fed­er­a­tion (EFF), con­tin­ues to oper­ate in a chal­len­ging eco­nomic envir­on­ment marked by uneven demand, weak indus­trial momentum, and grow­ing uncer­tainty about future mar­ket con­di­tions. Accord­ing to the latest data the sec­tor shows signs of sta­bil­iz­a­tion in some seg­ments, while con­fid­ence regard­ing the next six months remains fragile.

The European Foundry Industry Sen­ti­ment Index (FISI), pub­lished monthly by European Foundry Fed­er­a­tion, while main­tain­ing the same value as a month before – a level of 95.5 points, presen­ted a mixed per­form­ance in March 2026, reflect­ing cau­tious sta­bil­iz­a­tion in cur­rent con­di­tions but weak­en­ing expect­a­tions for the months ahead, accord­ing to the latest data from the European Foundry Fed­er­a­tion (EFF).

The Fed­er­a­tion joins a coali­tion of over 300 com­pan­ies and 35 national Asso­ci­ations in urging the EU and Mem­ber States to take imme­di­ate action.
